After trying again to uninstall and reinstall I have found the following: When going through the installation process everything gets a tick except Inventor, it says inventor is already installed on the machine. Inventor has never been installed on the machine its a new computer, Inventor was on another machine but my customer has apparently transferred the licence and decommissioned their old computer.

There is a "reregister" inventor trick.. Not sure if that will work.. Maybe the "Inventor reset utility" But just reinstalling it should work too and potentially be quicker than trying to fix whats broken.. If so please use the Accept Solution button below.

Also i am running a intel core i3 64 bit windows 10 with 2. First thing is that you don't get support directly from Autodesk.. You get the software for free since you're a student so feel lucky and that doesn't entitle you to support other than the forums. Other thing You machine is under power for Inventor.

You may be able to create simple parts and a very small assembly but if you required this machine in your classroom you will fall behind.. At this point.. I would stop the installation..
